Saturday morning coaching is held at Bishop's Tachbrook School, Kingsley Road, Bishop's Tachbrook and at Lillington Free Church, Cubbington Road, Lillington. It is run throughout the school year, meeting most Saturdays during term time. It is not held during school holidays, or if the Club is holding one of its graded tournaments.
The coaching is split between the two venues to allow for smaller groups and increase the amount of table time each player gets.
There are three sessions at Bishop's Tachbrook which are as follows:
Session 1, 09:00 - 10:00
Session one is a beginners session. It is suitable for those players, irrespective of age, who are new to the game and looking to acquire the basic skills. The majority of players on this session are aged between 8 and 11, but adults are more than welcome too.
Session 2, 10:00 - 11:00
Session two is an intermediate session. The majority of the players on this session will be those who are new to league table tennis (typically the bottom one or two divisions, depending on league structure), or approaching league standard. This session should allow players to further develop their basic strokes, movement and match play.
Session 3, 11:00 - 12:00
Session three is targeted at the more experienced 2-a-side league players, normally playing in the top few divisions of the 2-a-side competition.
There are three sessions at Lillington Free Church which are as follows:
Session 1, 09:30 - 10:30
Session 2, 10:30 - 11:30
Session 3, 11:30 - 12:30
