Rex Wong earned his place in the National Schools Finals after becoming Warwickshire Schools Champion. Representing Warwick school he won all 5 matches in his initial qualifying group. He then played Angus Priestley Tonner from Sussex in the last 16, winning 3-0. In a match full of breathtaking rallies Rex lost to Jake Davison of Gloucestershire 1-3 in the quarter-finals.

Warwick School competed in the under 19 Boys team final. Rex was joined by club mates Ambrose Ho and Daniel Siu as well as Starry Sheung. Against three specialist table-tennis playing schools Warwick drew with Ackworth 4-4, lost to Grantham 2-6 and defeated Uppingham 8-0 to finish a close third overall.
