Our Senior British League squad were promoted last season to Division 2A. Competing on weekend 4 in Draycott, the team were hoping their results would keep them up.

Saturday ended in disappointment as they lost to Draycott 4-5 by the tightest of margins. Lee Dorning won 2, Ricardo Bolanos and Monika Tomaszek added singles but the doubles was lost 9-11 in the 5 th . Our team then fell 0-9 to leaders Archway of Peterborough. However, on the Sunday spirits were lifted as Daily News, who are based in Bristol, were defeated 5-4. James Berry, Ricardo, Lee and Rex Wong all won singles and Lee and Rex pocketed the vital doubles. Despite a 4-5 loss to Sycamore of Nottingham our club finished in 6 th , high enough to avoid relegation. Many thanks to coaches Chris Mulligan and Tom Brocklehurst.
